The Woonsocket Community Library Summer Reading Program for youth will start June 11^th and continue until July 20^th.  All youth in the area are invited to participate in the program. Registration may be completed at the Library.  This year's theme is "Get a Clue @ Your Library".  To complete the program and be eligible for a certificate and prizes, youth entering Preschool, Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2 will be required to read a minimum of 200 pages, grades 3 and 4 - 350 pages, Grades 5 and 6 - 450 pages and Grades 7 and up - 600 pages.  Parents and older siblings are encouraged to read to the younger children.  There will also be a high school category with a minimum of 800 pages.  Youth reading more than the minimum number of pages will be eligible for additional prizes.  Books read must be checked out on June 11^th or later if the pages are to be counted towards the program. Since this is a library program, we request that books read be checked out from library. Younger children will need a family member to assist them in completing the reading logs. 

The Summer hours for the Library are Monday - 1:30 to 5:00 PM, Wednesday - 1:30 to 6:00 PM and Friday - 1:30 to 5:00 PM.  We have a large selection of books for adults and children, audio books, magazines and videos available for loan.  Three new computers with high-speed Internet connection are available for adult use.  Six computers are available for the youth.
