The Woonsocket Community Library Summer Reading Program for youth will start June 11th and continue until July 20th.  All youth in the area are invited to participate in the program. Registration may be completed at the Library.  This year's theme is "Get a Clue @ Your Library".  To complete the program and be eligible for a certificate and prizes, youth entering Preschool, Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2 will be required to read a minimum of 200 pages, grades 3 and 4 - 350 pages, Grades 5 and 6 - 450 pages and Grades 7 and up - 600 pages.  Parents and older siblings are encouraged to read to the younger children.  There will also be a high school category with a minimum of 800 pages.  Youth reading more than the minimum number of pages will be eligible for additional prizes.  Books read must be checked out on June 11th or later if the pages are to be counted towards the program. Since this is a library program, we request that books read be checked out from library. Younger children will need a family member to assist them in completing the reading logs.

The Summer hours for the Library are Monday - 1:30 to 5:00 PM, Wednesday - 1:30 to 6:00 PM and Friday - 1:30 to 5:00 PM.  We have a large selection of books for adults and children, audio books, magazines and videos available for loan.  Three new computers with high-speed Internet connection are available for adult use.  Six computers are available for the youth.
